Based on recent data, the number of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the count of female individuals reaching 100 increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to receive stories from individuals who have reached 100, their family or companions, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s major happenings and changes.
